Life constantly brings us new challenges, including unwanted struggles as well as exciting new opportunities. During challenges we often disconnect from ourselves and others, leaving us ungrounded and unsure of the way forward. Reconnecting with ourselves, including our self-worth, values, emotions and goals, along with reconnecting with others in a healthy, positive way, can be transformative and rewarding. My experience over the past 25 years as a therapist has provided me with opportunities to specialize in working with clients on perfectionism, anxiety, career stress, relocations and life stage transitions as well as with eating disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder), body image disturbance and compulsive exercise. I often work with clients who are therapists, healthcare providers, academics or in the arts & entertainment industries and the stressors specific to each of those fields. I am licensed in both Texas and California and therefore can see clients living in either state, or those who travel back and forth. The counseling journey is unique for each person. It is a journey of progress rather than perfection. My role is to be a professional guide along this part of your journey as you learn to reconnect to your own inner strength and wisdom.
