Do you feel stuck? Do you find yourself making the same mistakes again and again? I want to help you heal the wounds that are keeping you stuck. I enjoy working with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, substance use, eating disorders, body image, and life stage transitions. My work is guided by Internal Family Systems. From this framework I will help you get to know all parts of your internal world. My goal will be to help you develop an internal environment of curiosity and compassion so you can heal wounds and learn to live a more courageous and creative life. I am also heavily influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I often use ACT principles to help individuals develop psychological flexibility, practice mindful living, and live into their values. My work is also influenced by Health and Every Size (HAES) principles. HAES supports intuitive eating, intuitive movement, and body diversity. These principles inform my practice in helping individuals heal from an eating disorder, disordered eating, disordered exercise, and body image struggles. Additionally, my work is influenced by Brene Brown and Becky Kennedy. Ultimately, my goal is to create an environment where you feel safe exploring hard things and to walk alongside you as you do so. Starting counseling can be scary, and you're already taking the brave step of reflection. When I'm not spending time doing this fulfilling work, I'm enjoying time with my husband, three young kids, and our cats and dogs. I love gardening, reading, and trail runs.
